I finally took my written theory exam yesterday early morning. I passed :)
The letter for application for license is on its way! Yay! *^^*
Two weeks at least until I get officially licensed.
Whoo, it was a short, nerve wracking morning.
Anywho, I am working on my own wordpress theme…
Yeah…its not going too well. AT ALL.
I never EVER, never worked with PHP. The time it got popular is when I got lazy and was not interested in blogging much. And I also think working with PHP is significantly more difficult then html. I mean learning html was hard enough for me! …
But, I am giving it a try.
I followed this one tutorial and it didn’t end well.
And I JUST found another tutorial which is more thorough!
I’m going to take this one a shot.
The more I do this, [making mistakes most of the time] I understand it a bit better.
I swear if this tutorial does not work, I’M PAYING SOMEONE TO DO IT. >:O
It doesn’t help that I was never a web genius. :]
So how did you guys learn it?

Yep, I took the picture. I’m still an amateur in photography :P
I know nothing about PHP! I think the first time I touched it was with WordPress, but I still don’t know anything about the coding hahas.

Congrats on passing your theory! I have my practical in about 7 weeks, so nervous already.
I learnt PHP from doing a university coursework. I chose to code my application in PHP. I studied computer science so I was caught basic programming from first year. By the time I learnt PHP, I already learnt a few other programming languages so was really easy for me.
The things you made in your craft page are SO CUTE! I love that kind of stuff!! Would you be selling any of them? or thinking about selling some?

Congrats on passing your exam!
I had a lot of problems when I first designed a WP theme too, even with PHP knowledge. It helps to look at other people’s themes to see what they did though! Good luck with it!

LOLJK. Hahaha. Good thing youre working on it. I just have so little patience with those things, but maybe one day I’ll decide to really learn it. XD just not now.

It takes time to actually know parts and parcel of PHP that is required in the WordPress themes. Frankly speaking, I started when WP wasn’t such a big platform and it’s a lot easier then. When it gets bigger during every big upgrade, I just read through all the new stuff and pick it up from there.
Perhaps you can start editing a basic theme into your own? It may be easier that way now that WP has so many template tags. :P

Jihyun!!!!!!!!!! How are you?! XD
I learned PHP by… whipping wordpress to do what I want… I kept whining about the things I was making it do, but I was ruthless! I had no mercy! Ahahahaha!
I can help you if you have questions… though I don’t profess to be a genius. XD
