I think I found a domain name that I really like!
I am afraid to post it here in case some random stranger comes to my site and decides to steal it. ^__^
I am excited! But I have some problems. If everyone would please share ideas and help a…becoming noob. :)
When I blogged in the past, I have used greymatter [is that what it was called?] program, and for the past few years, I have blogged manually. I have noticed that people use wordpress program nowadays, am I correct?
If you guys do use programs, which program do you recommend?
And do you guys have your own hosts?
I have noticed that with wordpress, you can customize your layout and use their program and space if you pay them….
Is that how most of you do it?
Hehe I am such a noob. :)
Thank You! ♥

Hi Jihyun! ^^
Glad you agree with me on the Kesha thing. Gosh, I don’t know how people can listen to crap like that.
I use wordpress because it’s really user friendly. I have wordpress on my own host so I can download themes and customize it any way I want :)

It’s so hard to choose the domain name!
My blog uses wordpress but it’s hosted on bubble.nu servers. Maybe you can apply there. Their server is free if you’re approved :)

I used Greymatter in the past too, but now use WordPress. There are 2 versions of it. One you can sign up on their site and have them host it. The other you can download and install onto your own host. You can also edit the theme or download themes if you do that. I have it installed on my own domain =)
Can’t wait to see which name you picked out though!

I am using WordPress now as I told you on my blog. I’m self hosting the blog on my own domain, meaning I purchase a domain name and a hosting account and set up my WordPress blog there. It’s very customisable and I feel that it’s a good platform for a start. There are also places that provide free hosting such as Bubble.nu (which is quite popular and reliable according to their hostees). :)

I have my own domain and host my site from a paid self hosting.
I installed wordpress to the server and using that to run my site. It can be complicated to customise at the start but once you get use to it then its really easy. The documentation on the website is really good. You are already familiar with wordpress.com’s UI so you won’t have any problem with using the actual application because its the same.
I won’t advise paying wordpress for the space. It’s better to buy your own hosting from some hosting company and installing wordpress there. This way you can use the site for your blog and for anything else you like.

Ah, yes, I used Greymatter a LONG time ago, but I think the script is considered unsafe now :( Most people (including me) use WordPress, but they host it on their own domain, or find someone else to host it for them. It’s free, and you can change the layout however you like. Good luck!
